Description: Ride quiet country roads around a lakeshore with spectacular views of Mount Fuji. The lake's waters are exceptionally clean and transparent, and the iconic mountain is often reflected on their surface, creating an enchanting "double-Fuji" image.

Halfway around the lake, you'll stop to explore on foot at a beautifully-preserved village of thatched-roof houses where local artisans produce elaborate traditional hand-made crafts. A wide variety of works are on display in the village's studios, galleries and craft shops, including ceramics, paintings, wood carvings, glasswork and indigo-dyed fabrics. Mt Fuji rises up behind the picturesque houses, making for spectacular scenery.

Leaves of maple trees along the bike route turn brilliant shades of red, yellow and orange in fall, and the village's rows of cherry trees are covered with bright pink blossoms in spring. The second half of the cycling course winds past the famous Aokigahara "Sea of Trees" Forest and its groves of lush oaks and evergreens.

This tour spirits you away from the tourist bustle of urban areas to tranquil countryside with magnificent views. It's an ideal way to get off the beaten path and experience a vibrant rural community that preserves key elements of the culture and look of ancient Japan.
