Description: Bike around all of the Fuji Five Lakes and experience countless breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and its picturesque foothills. Discover not only the region's must-see vista points but also the charming country roads and enchanting lakeshores where relatively few tourists go.

Our support car first brings you to a high-elevation lake where you'll bike on dedicated cycling paths and boardwalks from which swans can be seen floating close to shore. You'll visit a nearby flower park and view Fuji's majestic peak rising up behind vast fields of colorful blooms.

Next, bike downhill to a second lake whose bucolic roads transport you past awe-inspiring landscapes and clear, still waters that reflect mountains, forests and sky. In autumn you'll ride under arches formed by maple branches covered with bright red and yellow leaves. Stops include an atmospheric shrine in a cypress grove.

As you cycle on to the shores of the more remote three of the Fuji Five Lakes, magnificent views of the iconic mountain are framed by aquamarine waters and lush woodlands. Explore on foot at a village where local artists display elaborate hand-made crafts in a setting that retains the look of ancient Japan. The village is a fantastic place to view Mount Fuji foregrounded by lanes of cherry trees that are covered with bright pink blossoms in spring.

This tour is a good match for people of average or better fitness who are up for a day of moderate outdoor activity. People of low to average fitness looking for an easier full-day bike tour in the Mt Fuji area should check out our Mt Fuji Lakeshores Full-Day Bike Tour.
