Optional Services and Upgrades

• Hybrid bikes (non-electric): included in the tour price
• Road bikes (non-electric): 12,000 yen per bike per day

The fee to use our hybrid bikes (non-electric bikes, also known as cross bikes, city bikes or flat-handlebar bikes) is included in the tour price. If you request road bikes (non-electric bikes, also called drop-handlebar or curved-handlebar bikes), we will charge you an additional fee of 12,000 Japanese yen per bike per day.

If you want a bicycle upgrade, please tell us in the "Bikes" section of our tour booking request form.

• Flat pedals: included in the tour price
• Shimano road bike pedals (SPD-SL) or mountain bike pedals (SPD): 10,000 yen per bike

Flat pedals are normally mounted on our bikes, but you can ask us in advance to mount clipless pedals (also known as clip-in or step-in pedals) so you can use your cycling shoes or rent cycling shoes from us. We offer installation and the first day of rental of our Shimano road bike pedals (SPD-SL) or mountain bike pedals (SPD) for 10,000 Japanese yen per bike. For the second and third days of multi-day tours, the rental fee is 5,000 Japanese yen per bike per day. (The above fees will not be charged if you bring your own pedals and install them on our bike). If you want an upgrade to clipless pedals, please tell us in the "Optional Services and Upgrades" section of our tour booking request form.

We offer rental of shoes compatible with road bike pedals (SPD-SL) or mountain bike pedals (SPD) for a fee of 16,000 Japanese yen per person for the first day of use. For the second and third days of multi-day tours, the rental fee is 8,000 Japanese yen per person per day. Please let us know if you want to rent bike shoes and what type you'd like when you make your tour reservation.

For tours that start at Kawaguchiko Station, pick up and drop off at Kawaguchiko Station are included in the tour price. If you would like pick up/drop off at some other location, please request this service when making your tour reservation.

Prices for long-distance pick up/drop off service

• Hakone to Kawaguchiko Station, one-way: 120,000 yen
• Hakone to Shinjuku Station, one-way: 300,000 yen
• Hakone to Tokyo Station, one-way: 350,000 yen
• Kawaguchiko Station to Shinjuku Station, one-way: 300,000 yen
• Kawaguchiko Station to Tokyo Station, one-way: 350,000 yen
• Koshu to Shinjuku Station, one-way: 300,000 yen
• Koshu to Tokyo Station, one-way: 350,000 yen

Round-trip prices are double the above one-way prices.

For groups larger than seven people and for pick up or drop off service between locations other than those listed above, please contact us for a price quote.

On request, and depending on our availability, we may be able to make transportation, hotel, event, equipment rental and restaurant reservations or ticket purchases or do travel-related research for you.

Our fee for these services is 5,000 yen per 15 minutes, rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes, with a minimum fee of 20,000 yen regardless of the specific service requested and the time it is expected to take.

If you request these kinds of services we will provide you with a link to a secure webpage where you can pay the fee in advance by credit or debit card.

The fee is not refundable, even if you cancel or reschedule your trip, tour, reservations or plans.

When your tour is scheduled to end, if our guide is available, you may extend your tour and hire our guide and private car for additional same-day touring and local transportation. Our fees for this service are shown below.

• 10,000 yen per 30 minutes, rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes
• 20,000 yen per hour
• 80,000 yen for a half day (four hours)

We will collect cash or credit card payment for your desired extension before providing this service. The above fees include snacks and bottled water but do not include entry fees for attractions, lunch, dinner or long-distance transportation.
