Description: Our support car brings you to one of the most scenic and remote lakes in Mt Fuji's foothills. There you'll hike through evergreen, beech and bamboo forests to a uniquely-beautiful Shinto shrine on a mountainside. The hiking course ascends to a series of wildflower-dotted peaks with some of the region's best views of Mt Fuji, the Japanese Alps and the lake below. You'll descend through groves of fragrant cypress trees to a flower park where vast fields of seasonal blooms foreground the iconic mountain.

Then you'll cycle a picturesque lakefront on dedicated bike paths and boardwalks. The cycling course is bordered by trees filled with delicate white and pink cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant red and yellow maple leaves in fall. Along the way, you'll pass swans that float across Fuji's reflection on the water.

This tour takes you down charming, colorful countryside routes where there are relatively few tourists. It's an excellent way to see Mt Fuji while getting off the beaten path. Parents with children who are old enough to enjoy a full day of physical activity appreciate the opportunity this tour offers to enjoy nature with their kids while keeping them safe on paths reserved for cyclists and pedestrians.
